Dear Homeowners,
As your Association president this year, I plan to send regular emails with brief notes giving you a head’s up on items that may be of interest and importance to you as a full homeowner at Smugglers’. Below are some recent notes I would like to share with you.
Vermont Electric Coop is developing a program where you can invest in a solar farm and buy discounted electricity for your Smugglers Notch home. Contact Vt. Electric for details. http://www.vermontelectric.coop/
Interested in switching your lighting to LED’s? Aubuchon Hardware has had many styles for $4.99 when I was up earlier this fall. SNHA and Smugglers’ Maintenance will also be assisting in replacements through a buying program sponsored by Efficiency Vermont. Contact snha@snha.net if you are interested.
An excavation and grading project will start shortly in the area around and on Liftside property to better manage water from winter run off from encroaching upon ground level Liftside homes.
The web site Trip Advisor accepts reviews from homeowners about their experiences at the Resort. Tell the world what made you fall in love with your home at Smugglers! Visit Trip Advisor and join the discussion.
If you have a gas fireplace or heater stove that you use for primary heat in your Smugglers’ home, it is time to light the pilots in those gas fireplaces and cover the A/C’s. If you are a renting homeowner, Smugglers’ will take care of these for you. If you are a non-renter or a self-renter and wish assistance, contact Tracy at SNHA – tracy@snha.net
Our Executive Director, Joe Hester Ingram is a member of the Board of the Lamoille Economic Development Corporation. If you have an interest in starting a business in Vermont, investing locally, or wish to know more about this organization, contact Joe at joe@snha.net
or visit the web site for LEDC at http://www.lamoilleeconomy.org/
Homeowner Calendars – were due back October 1st with your planned use to Smugglers. If you have not returned them, please do so immediately. Remember to also update your unit amenities profile that was included and return it to Smugglers’. The amenities list is maintained in the reservations system to assist reservationists and guests to find the homes with the amenities they are looking for.
Your Association Board has held two teleconferences since the July Annual Meeting and is reorganizing committee appointments and agendas for a number of SNHA Committees. We will advise you when these committee materials are updated and posted on the SNHA.net web site.
If you have suggestions for future “SNHA Notes”, let us hear from you.
Enjoy this beautiful fall season !
Best Regards,
Bob Oehrlein
SNHA President
