We hope you all are safe and sound while enjoying the summer season. We have certainly missed seeing all of you this year. If your travel plans allow a trip up to Smuggs, we would like to fill you in on what is happening at SNHA, planning tips for the upcoming season and fun things to do while you are here.

SNHA Annual Meeting 2020 – Follow up on water questions

As a follow up to our annual Homeowner meeting in July we have continued to work with the resort to answer additional questions about the water supply system and the ongoing testing.  As reviewed, this system is operated by a third-party international company specializing in water supply and waste water systems, Veolia NA.  Mark Delaney has outlined a detailed background report to answer many of the  questions that were raised during our meeting.  This document can be accessed at:

https://www.smuggs.com/pages/pdf/corporate-development/Water%20System%20Information.pdf

In addition, individual testing can be done for any home.

For owners who are concerned and wish to have testing done in their home, System operators can take samples when the next round of System sampling is done, which will likely be in early September. Smugglers’ recommends the testing be done on the two-sample basis as described in the report. There will be a charge of $50 the cost of the lab analysis ($25 per sample). The results will be forwarded via email upon completion of the testing. Owners who wish to do so should notify Smugglers’ via email at mdelaney@smuggs.com prior to August 28th . You can elect to have only a single one-liter sample taken for a charge of $25 if you wish.

If you have additional questions after reviewing the posted report please send an email to joe@snha.net and copy mdelaney@smuggs.com.

They are a trusted network that partners homeowners willing to donate un-booked time in their home to first responders in need of some well-deserved time off.  SNHA welcomes new staff member

We are pleased to introduce Andy Iwaskiewicz to the SNHA office. Andy made his first appearance with SNHA at the annual meeting fielding the online questions on the Zoom Chat Board, and many of you may already know Andy as he was previously working at the Resort in the Village Services department at Smuggs. Andy will be the Assistant Executive Director and is working closely with Joe to learn what we do at SNHA. With his knowledge of the resort, he has already jumped right into organizing summer and fall Regime projects to prepare the buildings for the winter season ahead. If you have questions for Andy, he may be reached at andy@snha.net.

SNHA Homeowner Projects

Home Inspections/Housekeeping Services

Many homeowners have opted out of the rental program this summer due to Covid- 19 restrictions and have found themselves without a watchful eye on their home. SNHA has a Home Inspection Service that is performed monthly. The inspection includes a review of the status of your home, runs the plumbing to keep air out of the lines, flushes toilets to keep the fittings from drying out and checks on safety issues that may need attention. If you would like to take advantage of this service and/or need a housekeeper in between your family visits please contact Tracy tracy@snha.net to get you started.

QHP Update

While the 2020 QHP deadline has been extended to Oct. 1st it is never too late to start planning. If there are any questions regarding the status of your 2020 action list, please contact Laurie Thorpe lsamal@smuggs.com. For assistance in completing items on your personal or QHP to- do list, contact Tracy tracy@snha.net. Homeowner incentive offers will start going out through this message next month so stay tuned.
